Worship Ministry Leader
Main role in Team Leadership:
Lead, develop and guide an active team of worship leaders, musicians,
singers, and audio-visual/logistics crew in enhancing their individual and
collective skills so as to effectively serve YMM in its weekly celebration
service and other YMM activities/events which have worship segments.
Sub-Roles in Team Leadership:
1. Identify interested potential worship ministry persons through cell
leaders’ recommendations or references. Together with the group team I/C(s),
assess and invite suitable potential persons to join. Important role such
as worship leading in the celebration service shall be subject to approval
by the Church Leadership.
2. Finance: Together with group team I/C(s), be responsible for the
general management of the Worship Team’s Budget. Prepare annual budget and
submit budget for approval to the Church treasurer.

Group Team I/Cs
Role in Team Leadership
1. Ensure your part of the weekly Sunday celebration service runs
smoothly.
2. Occasionally meet up with your group members to forge closer bonding
and understanding.
3. Work with the team to identify patterns, develop and implement
responsible, innovative change strategies and responsive action plans.
4. Consult with other group i/cs, staff/pastors or administrator, on
appropriate responses to potential problem areas.

Worship Leaders
Roles and responsibilities in the Team:
1. Lead and encourage the congregation to experience God in worship.
2. Ensure that songs are sent 2 weeks in advance to church office with the
intended songs burnt onto a re-writeable CD, then distributed to the
scheduled team members (musicians & singers).
3. Collect song files and keyboard from office and to facilitate practice
on Saturday at the studio.
4. Inform the Sound Crew I/C (PC Cher) if there is a special arrangement
on that particular Sunday Celebration Service.
5. Complete a final round of quick rehearsal for the Sunday Service by
8.30am.
6. Attire- a) Men - Long sleeve shirt, tie and pants.
b) Ladies - Blouse and pants, ‘toe-covered’ shoes

Worship Singers
Roles and responsibilities in the Team:
1. Learn the songs from the burnt CD distributed by the scheduled worship
leader.
2. Memorize the lyrics from the email sent by the scheduled worship
leader.
3. Learn to listen to one another and be in sync.
4. Assist the worship leader by providing vocal support and encouraging
the congregation to worship through external worship expression.
5. Be punctual and come prepared for weekly practice (2 to 5 pm) and
service (8am to be at Yishun 10)
6 Set up your microphone and music stand by 8.15 a.m.
7 Help distribute songs folder.
8 Help keep your microphone and music stand after service, where possible
help bring some light equipments such as cymbals, poles, music stands,
tables used for communion, pole stands down to the foyer or into the store
room (exceptions for singers who are pregnant)
9 Return the re-writeable CD to the worship leader immediately after the
service.
10 Work as a team.
11 Attire- a) Men - Long sleeve shirt, tie , pants, smart casual or
working shoes
b) Ladies - Blouse, pants, ‘toe-covered’ shoes or sandals, lipstick

Musicians
Roles and responsibilities in the Team:
1. Learn the songs from the burnt CD distributed by the scheduled worship
leader.
2. Be punctual and come prepared for weekly practice and service.
3. Practice good stewardship in your handling of instruments and
equipment.
4. Assist in helping in the Sunday’s loading and unloading of
instruments/equipment from Blk 156 to Yishun 10 and back to Blk 156.
5. Work as a team.
6. If you cannot attend practice/service on your assigned week, make
arrangements for a replacement and inform both the worship leader and
musician I/C, preferably a week in advance.
7. Attire a) Men - Long sleeve shirt, tie and pants.
b) Ladies - Blouse, pants, ‘toe-covered’ shoes or sandals.

Audio/Visual Crew
Roles and responsibilities in the Team:
1. Be punctual for weekly service.
2. Practice good stewardship in your handling, setting up and dismantling
of equipment.
3. Help in the Sunday’s loading and unloading of instruments/equipment
from Blk 156 to Yishun 10 and back to Blk 156.
4. Perform final sound-check for the worship team by 8.20am.
5. Work as a team.

Logistic Crew
Roles and responsibilities in the Team:
1. Be punctual for the weekly service.
2. Practice good stewardship in your handling, loading & unloading of
equipment.
3. Help in the Sunday’s loading and unloading of instruments/equipment
from Blk 156 to Yishun 10 and back to Blk 156.
4. Work as a team.

Recording Crew
Roles and responsibilities in
the Team:
1.
Be punctual
for scheduled duties (Sunday services, school of growth, etc…).
2.
Be good
stewards in the handling of hardware and software.
3. Be
proficient in recording, editing and CD labeling software.
4. When required, edit recordings.
5.
Burn recordings into a Master CD to be kept with YMM office.

Boy-Girl Relationships (BGR)
The worship team consists of not only adults but also youth. Under the
youth ministry standards, younger team members are discouraged from having
or starting a one-to-one boy-girl relationships. Therefore, the same
standards will apply to the worship ministry.
1. Younger team members under 18 years of age are disallowed from
starting a relationship.
2. In the event that a BGR has started below the stated age, the youth
leader, to whom the couple is attached will be informed. (Please refer to
the guideline distributed by Ps Timothy)
3. In the event that a BGR has started on or after the stated age, the
couple is encouraged to be accountable through a couple mentoring
relationship.
4. In the event of a failed BGR, Leadership should be informed and
counselling is required.
5. Any worship team member who is emotionally or otherwise affected by a
failed BGR, whether earlier made known or not to the Leadership, may be
required to take a break of up to 6 months. This includes the Sunday
celebration service, youth worship service as well as the prayer meeting.

Requirements for Admission*
Worship Leader
1.
Is a
committed cell member and has attended cell and celebration service on a
regular basis for at least 3 years.
2.
Loves
the Lord and has an ongoing spiritual relationship with Christ.
3.
Has led
worship at cell level for more than 2 years.
4.
Has the
passion to lead worship and see the congregation having a worship
experience.
5.
Able to
follow tempo and pitch.
6.
Has
gone through vocal training or been a worship singer.
7.
Has the
desire to learn. Note: In addition to
above, appointment of worship leader needs to approved by YMM main
leadership.
Worship Singer
1. Is a committed cell
member and has attended cell and celebration service on a regular basis
for at least 2 years.
2.
Has an ongoing spiritual relationship with Christ.
3.
Has the passion /desire to lead worship through singing.
4. Able
to follow tempo and carry the pitch (harmonize with others).
5.
Has gone through vocal training.
6.
Has desire to learn.
Musicians
1. Is a committed cell member and
has attended cell and celebration service on a regular basis for at
least 2 years.
2. Has an ongoing spiritual
relationship with Christ.
3. Has played for worship
at cell level for 2 years.
4.
Able to follow tempo.
5. Has musical/ technical
training or foundation.
6. Has desire to learn.
Audio / Sound / Recording Crew
1.
Is a
committed cell member and has attended cell and celebration service on a
regular basis for at least 2 years.
2.
Loves
the Lord and maintains an ongoing spiritual relationship with Jesus
Christ.
3.
Has an
alert /diligent spirit, a teachable attitude and a servant’s heart.
4.
Has
desire to learn and to excel.
5.
Loves
music and has an ear for music.
6.
Has
some form of technical training or foundation (optional).
Logistic Crew
1. Is a committed cell member and has attended cell and
celebration service on a regular basis for at least 2 years.
2. Loves the Lord and maintains an ongoing spiritual
relationship with Jesus Christ.
3. Has an alert spirit, a teachable attitude and a servant’s
heart.
4. Physically able to carry things.
* These are basic requirements. A 6 months probation applies to all roles.
Any additional requirements will be spelled out by the respective group
team ICs for special case/s.
Confirmation after Probation or Relinquishing of Roles*
Confirmation and continuation of the persons in the ministry will depend
on the following factors:
1. Submissive attitude.
2. Health Issues.
3. Family Issues.
4. Personal Issues.
*This will be recommended by the respective group team i/cs. The Worship
Team Leadership will decide on the action to take. The decision could
differ on a case by case basis.
